2024 SHSAT Summer & Fall Boot Camp

This is a summer & Fall enrichment program designed for high-performing 5th, 6th and 7th graders getting in position for top high school admissions and 8th graders who will take the 2024 SHSAT in November of this year. These schools include Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Brooklyn Tech, Brooklyn Latin, High School of Math, Science and Engineering at City College (HSMSE), American Studies at Lehman, Staten Island Tech, and Queens Science at York College. 

This is an SHSAT intensive program, that requires commitment from parents and students over a period of 5 weeks in the summer and 10 weeks in the fall. Students will be expected to complete all assigned work in order to keep up with the pace of the program. The application deadline is May 31st, 2024.

ADMISSION

The first step to being considered for the 2024 SHSAT Summer & Fall Boot Camp is the submission of an application. Criteria for admission is solely based on the applicant's most recent state exam scores. Student must have 3’s and 4’s to be a selected for this opportunity. Note: To be considered for the fall 2024 program, continuing AdmissionSquad students from the 2024 SHSAT Summer Boot Camp may use their most recent SHSAT diagnostic score as the sole criteria for admission and will be given priority. Students must have a 450 or greater on a diagnostic SHSAT to attend the fall boot camp.

July 8th to August 8th (SUMMER SESSION) IN-PERSON

80+ hours of IN-PERSON admissions test preparation

3 proctored exams with detailed score reports (3.5 hours each)

September 7th to November 2nd (FALL SESSION) IN-PERSON and ONLINE

40+ hours of in-person or virtual admissions test preparation

4 proctored exams with detailed score reports (3.5 hours each)

Summer Classroom Prep (In-person)

8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (students will have breakfast and lunch)

Fall Classroom Prep (In-person or Online)

Saturday —> 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Saturday —> 2:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Sunday —> 2:00 PM - 6:30 PM

TUITION*

IN-PERSON PROGRAM: $750 for the Summer & Fall session

LOCATION

Classes will be held IN-PERSON at St. Joseph’s University (245 Clinton Ave Brooklyn, NY 11205) in the summer and at Stuyvesant High School in the fall. Virtual options will be available for the fall program. In the event of the need to facilitate material pickup in-person or any other extreme circumstances, this is our home office: 195 Montague St, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Closing event: Day Before the 2024 SHSAT

Tentative Date the evening before the SHSAT from 4PM - 6PM

Every year we host a closing panel event for the students who are getting ready to take the exam. We invite current high-performing high school students from the Specialized High Schools to come and share some last minute words of encouragement. The location is TBD. As of right now, it will be online until further notice. Please visit our YouTube channel to meet our past panelists for the past three years, some of which, currently attend Harvard University!
